Erbie Road pullout to the top of Liles Falls

The tourism page says less than 0.1 mile return, but its directions include about 100 yards of road walking plus 300 feet through woods each way. A reliable total is unknown.

Road walking, woodland terrain and exposed waterfall edge. No protected pedestrian walkway verified.

Where to start

Harrison tourism directs visitors from Highway 7 onto County Road 79 toward Erbie. After 3.5 road miles, use the small pullout on the right, about 1.5 miles beyond Cedar Grove Picnic Area.

Timing & water

No waterfall-specific closure was found in the reviewed compendium. Route authorization remains unconfirmed; this is not a claim that all cross-country hiking is closed.

Before you go

Confirm the permitted approach with Buffalo National River before using the tourism-described woodland route. The cross-country exception does not automatically authorize social trails.
