Where to start

Timing & water
Check landslide and road conditions before travel. Heavy rain can make both road and walking crossings impassable.
Before you go
NPS lists no activity fee or reservation for Cecil Cove. Pets are prohibited; service animals are permitted. The NPS compendium prohibits social-trail use and allows only low-impact cross-country hiking, so the unmaintained canyon approach is not confirmed as permitted. Confirm with park staff.
