Start on the Buffalo River Trail toward Steele Creek from Kyles Landing, then take the signed Indian Creek junction. Beyond that junction the route is unmaintained. The firsthand accounts describe three creek crossings and a steep bypass above the creek before reaching Copperhead Falls. This is a strenuous canyon route with slippery rocks and exposed bluff sections, not an easy maintained waterfall trail. Turn back at Copperhead; the later cave and rope-climbing sections described in the longer accounts are not part of this itinerary.
