- About 0.5 mile round trip from the Camp Orr Road parking area (Buffalo Outdoor Center); 4.4 miles round trip if you hike the Buffalo River Trail from Kyles Landing
- Ground & access
- Short, mostly flat creekside trail from the lot. The last bit of the access road is steep and rough, and the outfitter recommends an AWD vehicle. Spray from the falls can soak camera gear.
From Highway 74 between Ponca and Jasper, take gravel CR 2300, then CR 2306 down a steep road to a parking area on the right just past a small slab crossing. A short trail leads to the waterfall, which has two spring and creek fed streams and a third stream in wet weather. Camp Orr is a working Boy Scout camp and the land beyond the trailhead parking lot is closed to the public. A longer option follows the Buffalo River Trail from Kyles Landing and reaches the top of the falls; the way down to the base there is steep and needs some scrambling.

Camp Orr Road roadside parking, then the short trail to Triple Falls (also called Twin Falls)
The 0.5 mile round trip is the outfitter figure for the short route from the parking area. The 4.4 mile figure belongs to a different, longer route from Kyles Landing and is not the short walk.

Where to start
Parking on the right after the small slab crossing on CR 2306, about 1.8 miles down from CR 2300 (Buffalo Outdoor Center directions from Ponca: Highway 74 east 9 miles, left on CR 2300 for 1 mile, right on CR 2306). A second blog says a pull-out on the main Camp Orr road also gives quick access. Stay out of Camp Orr beyond the lot.
Timing & water
The spring fed streams flow year round; the third, creek fed stream may be absent in dry weather. The road is hard in wet conditions.
