- Long forest trail with a ford of Siouxon Creek, a log crossing or shallow ford below Chinook Falls, a very brushy section, and a treacherous crossing of Wildcat Creek over slippery logs and rocks.
Wildcat Falls is the tallest waterfall in the Siouxon Creek drainage of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, about 250 feet in four drops. From the Siouxon Trailhead, follow the Siouxon Trail upstream to the Siouxon-Chinook Trail Junction, where the footbridge over the narrows is out. Oregon Hikers describes fording Siouxon Creek between the chasm and the mouth of Chinook Creek, then taking the Chinook Trail #130A up Chinook Creek to the crossing below Chinook Falls on a chained log or a shallow ford. At the Chinook-Wildcat Trail Junction keep left on the Wildcat Trail #136 and cross Wildcat Creek over slippery logs and rocks to the Wildcat-Siouxon Crossing Trail Junction. Head up the Wildcat Trail about a third of a mile, past Lower Wildcat Falls and a slide falls, to a sharp switchback below a rock face with a view across to the lower 125 feet of Wildcat Falls. Return the same way.
