Trails Trekker: Lost Creek Falls

Lost Creek Falls is a multi-tiered cascade on the north side of Provo Canyon, across from Bridal Veil Falls. From the Nunn's Park parking area, walk up the Great Western Trail to a wider dirt road and turn right (north). Follow the road until a trail turns off steeply to the left near a pump house and utility boxes, and climb that trail into Lost Creek canyon. The trail is clear at first, but after it meets the creek it becomes rocky and less clear, with paths on either side of the creek. Sources do not name the land manager, and the upper path is unclear, so this is a partial guide. Return the same way, with care on the steep descent.

Timing & water

Late spring is best. In winter the gully has frequent avalanches; by fall most of the creek has dried up.
