Grassy forest road, then a very steep bushwhack through mountain laurel and a steeper bank scramble near the falls.

Little Creek Falls is a long sliding falls ending in a 12-foot drop in a small rhododendron-draped canyon in Nantahala National Forest near Highlands. Walk up the grassy FS 4622 for 0.3 miles to a sharp right switchback (GPS 35.024927, -83.177499). Mini-cliffs lie between the road and the creek, so NC Waterfalls advises leaving from the uphill side of the switchback on an overgrown road, then heading down to the lower drop using the waterfall's coordinates. If you reach sliding water you are too far upstream.
