Split Rock Falls is a series of drops totaling about 35 feet on the Boquet River beside US 9 between NY 73 and New Russia. Northern New York Waterfalls says a chain link fence in the center of the parking area marks a viewing spot near the top of the falls, and openings in the wooden guard rail at the north end of the lot lead to an obvious trail with closer views. The land was formerly private and was given to the state in 1982. There are no railings along the trail.
