Shoebox Falls, also called Ferngully, is a small falls of about 8 to 10 feet into a narrow chasm and swim hole on the North Fork of the Boquet River beside NY 73, east of Chapel Pond. Park near the stone bridge, walk back over the bridge and along the road a few hundred feet to a path that leads up and to the right to the top of the falls. The falls are hard to see from the top; for a better view, continue a little past the tree line where the falls can be seen from the road, staying behind the guardrail. Return the same way.
