From the small AMC Northwest Cabin parking, walk the old fire road east, turn left before the cabin onto an unmarked trail to the Appalachian Trail, then go north through Sages Ravine, cross the brook and continue to Bear Rock Stream just past the Laurel Ridge campsite spur.
