From the pull-off beside NC 215, walk toward the small red house on the south side of the ministry complex and enter the woods to its left; a short path drops to the river at the falls. French Broad Falls is the wide 15 foot drop on the North Fork French Broad River, beside the Shoal Creek falls below the old mill. Return the same way.

Where to start
Gravel pull-off on the west side of NC 215 against the guard rail just south of the Living Waters ministry buildings, 7.8 road miles north of US 64 and about 9.25 miles south of the Blue Ridge Parkway at Beech Gap. Park completely off the road; do not block gates or park elsewhere on the property. Adams gives trailhead GPS 35.2235, -82.86069.
