In the Balsam Grove community, turn off NC 215 onto Tanasee Gap Road (8.3 miles south of the Blue Ridge Parkway and 8.7 miles north of US 64). Drive about 1.4 to 1.45 miles and turn left on unpaved Pressley Fields Road. Park on the side of the road a short way along (NC Waterfalls: 0.1 miles, on the left; Waterfall Hero: about a quarter mile, on the right after the second surveillance sign). There is no trail. Climb down the steep bank to Tucker Creek, then walk upstream in or beside the creek just over 0.1 miles to the base of the falls. NC Waterfalls suggests crossing the creek well downstream to avoid thick rhododendron.
