Northern New York Waterfalls: Tenant Creek 2nd Falls

Tenant Creek has three falls on a trail off Hope Falls Road in the town of Hope. From Northville, take NY 30 north, turn right on Old Northville Road, then left on Hope Falls Road in 1.4 miles, and drive about seven miles (the last mile unpaved) to a parking area on the right. The trail leaves the back of the lot past a register to the 40-foot first falls at 0.9 mile. Climb the hill to the right of the first falls (left bank, facing downstream) and continue upstream about 1.1 miles to the 2nd Falls, a two-part drop of about 20 feet; the 3rd Falls is about 0.1 mile beyond. Return the same way. This listing is named only "second falls"; it is placed upstream of the first falls on Tenant Creek but its exact match to the 2nd Falls is not confirmed.

Parking area on the right at the end of Hope Falls Road, about seven miles from Old Northville Road. Hope Falls Road is seasonal; in winter, park at the winter parking area, which adds about a mile each way.
