From the junction of NY 30 and NY 8 in Speculator, follow 30/8 toward Wells for about 3 to 3.6 miles to a small unmarked dirt pull-off behind the guardrail on the left, below the dam. Drive down the short embankment to the parking area. The path at the back of the parking area goes down a rocky slope to a rock spine overlooking the falls, which drop in two sections below a hydro dam. Stay on the trail and in the swimming areas; the surrounding forest is private property.
