Auger Falls is a long series of falls and rapids in a gorge on the Sacandaga River, on public Forest Preserve in the Siamese Ponds Wilderness. From the parking lot, the official trail heads south, turns left onto a smaller gravel road, then enters the woods on a dirt path past the trail register; it is poorly marked at first, so follow the small yellow markers. The trail descends gently to cliffs above the gorge, with several overlooks. Return the same way, or follow the yellow markers and then an unmarked route along the river back to the north side of the parking area.
