A community listing gave 1.23 miles out and back before the closure. That figure is not official and does not apply while the order is in effect.

Where to start

Entering the Splinters Cabin Trailhead and Picnic Area is prohibited under the order. Do not park or enter there.

Timing & water

Closed through June 7, 2027 unless the Forest Service ends the order earlier. Check the Forest Service alert before travel.

Before you go

The order exempts only holders of a PCT Long-distance Permit, a Forest Service exemption permit, and officials. Violations are punishable by fine or jail.
