Porter Falls is at the meeting of the West Fork and South Fork of Porter Creek in Capitol State Forest, managed by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. One branch cuts through a cleft while the other plunges over a ledge into a punchbowl. From the trailhead, the trail climbs several switchbacks and levels out partway up the hillside, then drops back to the creek and rises again to the West Fork of Porter Creek. Follow the West Fork down to the confluence and the falls. Return the same way.
