- Easy, mostly level path and creek bed with countless shallow crossings. Wear shoes that can get wet. The pool under the falls is chest-deep on an adult.
This listing is probably the 30-foot waterfall at the end of Mary Jane Canyon, on the Professor Creek route northeast of Moab on BLM land. No source confirms that the name Slytherin Falls means the same falls, so treat the identity as likely, not certain. From Highway 128, a ranch road that is BLM Road 98 runs about 2 miles to its end at the trailhead. There are no signs for Mary Jane Canyon: take the unsigned trail to the left (not the Sylvester Trail) and follow Professor Creek upstream, crossing it many times. Near the 4-mile mark the canyon narrows and the waterfall ends the hike. There is no overlook; you must walk into the water to see the falls. Return the same way.
