Faux Falls is a man-made waterfall near Moab: water from Mill Creek is diverted through a tunnel under Brimley Ridge and flows over the falls on its way to Kens Lake. From the Faux Falls Trailhead the falls are visible to the east. Follow the trail about 200 yards east to the base. The pool at the base is about three to four feet deep. Return the same way. If camping at Kens Lake Campground, a social trail also follows the creek from the campground to the falls.

Short, easy trail. The last half mile of dirt road to the trailhead can be rough.
Where to start
Faux Falls Trailhead, with parking for several vehicles and an information kiosk. From Moab, drive south on US 191 about 7.5 miles to mile marker 117.9 and turn east on the signed Kens Lake Road. Follow the signed roads to the junction where the paved Kens Lake Road turns north and the Flat Pass Road turns to dirt and heads east. Follow the Flat Pass Road 0.1 miles to an unsigned spur road on the left, then follow the spur 0.5 miles to the trailhead. Road Trip Ryan says high clearance helps on a couple of rough spots; the road can be walked.
Timing & water
Road Trip Ryan lists any season. The flow depends on water diverted to fill Kens Lake.
