Angel Falls is a class IV rapid on the Big South Fork River that the National Park Service says was once a 10-foot waterfall. Start at the trailhead at the back of the Leatherwood Ford parking lot and follow the Angel Falls Trail downstream beside the river to the rapid. Return the same way. Do not enter the rapid; it is dangerous.
