Tamarack Falls, about 20 feet, drops into a rocky grotto with a cave-like overhang on an intermittent tributary of Loyalsock Creek near Sones Pond in Loyalsock State Forest. Jeff Mitchell describes an unmarked, unsigned old forest grade that leaves Loyalsock Road at about 41.472756, -76.528259. Follow it level, then gradually down toward Tamarack Run. Where the grade fades, follow a path down along the creek to the top of the falls, then switchback down ledges to the base. Return the way you came. You may see orange flagging along the way.
