From Bryson City head west on US 74 about 20 miles and turn left on Wayah Road. After 4.1 miles turn right on Old River Road, which becomes gravel, and drive 0.3 miles to a parking area on the right. The parking area is right near the top of these small cascades on the Nantahala River. A steep path leads from the road down to the base; on the source author's last visit the stairs looked washed out.
