Middle Falls is a drop of about 15 feet on the Batten Kill in the hamlet of Middle Falls, just below a hydro dam and the NY 29 bridge. The falls cannot be seen from a car. Walk to the middle of the highway bridge to look down on the falls and rock formations. A short trail from the hydro river-access lot also leads to a gravel beach downstream. The power plant borders one bank and private property the other.

Where to start

River-access lot on the south (Easton) side of the river, off NY 29 at the bridge, on the lane toward the Battenkill Country Club. The lot descent is rough. A visitor account says the Battenkill Conservancy and Boralex, the hydro operator, made it a public access marked by a Corridor Connection sign. Northern New York Waterfalls describes roadside parking at the bridge.
