From parking, walk through Loop B camping area onto the old roadbed, pass the water tank and continue to the creek. After the smaller lower cascade, a rocky scramble along the creek reaches the larger waterfall. Return the same way.

Jeff Rose’s guide explicitly gives about 1.1 miles round-trip. Arkansas tourism lists a two-mile hike without specifying its endpoint or direction; figures are not merged.

Jeff Rose publishes recreation-area parking at 35.549590,-93.161860. His route starts through Loop B; the official state tourism page confirms a parking fee, but a current amount is unverified.

The reviewed USFS page marks Long Pool Recreation Area open year-round (checked October 27, 2026). Waterfall flow depends on rain; the site status does not verify the waterfall spur or creek conditions.
