Ground & access
Steep bluff descent, creek crossings and rocky off-trail terrain.

A remote ATV-track approach becomes a steep bushwhack through a creek canyon. Stay away from the private gate and property.

Plan your visit

From Jobes Way’s clearing before the private gate, take the ATV trail on the left. Keep right at forks toward John Mountain Falls. Descend its bluff break, follow the outlet creek downstream, then turn right up the next creek to Ladderbucket. Return the same way.

Hallmark explicitly gives about 5 miles out-and-back via John Mountain Falls. His difficult exploratory return above Ladderbucket is not the recommended route.

Steep bluff descent, creek crossings and rocky off-trail terrain.
