Upper Amnicon Falls is the main drop of Amnicon Falls, about 15 feet, where the Amnicon River pours through a narrow basalt opening into a large plunge pool. From the parking area, walk down the stone steps to the view of Upper Falls. The Horton Covered Bridge, just downstream, also looks upstream at the falls and leads to the island trail; Lower Falls is less than 100 yards below. Return the same way, or continue across the covered bridge onto the island.
