Martha Falls is a long series of falls where Unicorn Creek drops from the Snow Lake basin into Stevens Canyon, ending in a 121 to 125-foot plunge. The main falls is seen across the upper end of Stevens Canyon from a viewpoint along Stevens Canyon Road; the Northwest Waterfall Survey describes it as an unsigned large pullout with an interpretive sign, about half a mile down the road from the Wonderland Trail crossing. For the trailside drop, park where the Wonderland Trail crosses the upper Stevens Canyon Road, about half a mile east of the sharp hairpin called The Bench, and follow the trail downhill about 0.6 mile to the bridge over Unicorn Creek, with falls upstream. The return is uphill. Sylvia Falls is 0.9 mile farther down the trail. The whole series cannot be seen at once.

Plan your visit

Two viewpoints on Stevens Canyon Road in Mount Rainier National Park: the roadside viewpoint across upper Stevens Canyon for the main falls, and the Wonderland Trail downhill from its upper Stevens Canyon Road crossing to the bridge over Unicorn Creek

The National Park Service says a higher cascade of Martha Falls is visible along the Wonderland Trail about 0.6 mile from where the trail crosses the upper part of Stevens Canyon Road, or 4.2 miles from the Reflection Lakes parking area. The main falls is seen from a roadside viewpoint with no walk.
