Doughty Falls is a waterfall of about 20 to 25 feet on Cabbage Creek, on the Deceiver Trail in King County's Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park near Issaquah. A WTA trip report describes a loop that starts at the Sky Country trailhead: go up Clay Pit Road to Fred's Railroad, turn right on Fred's Railroad to the Shy Bear Trail and Shy Bear Pass, then take the Long View Peak Trail, which becomes the Deceiver Trail and drops to Cabbage Creek just above Doughty Falls. Later trip reports mention new steps, a railing, a viewing landing and a bridge at the falls. Return the same way, or continue on the Shy Bear and Far Country trails as a loop. The trails are well marked, but carry a park map.

Where to start

WTA directions for Fred's Railroad: from I-90 exit 13, go south on Lakemont Boulevard (it becomes Newcastle-Coal Creek Road), turn left on Cougar Mountain Way for about 0.5 mile, then right on 166th Way for about 0.75 mile to a yellow gate and a large parking area on the right. The trip report calls its start the Sky Country trailhead; that it is the same lot is not confirmed.
