Rocky, uneven ground down to the water. Rock ledges are slippery when wet, and the current above the falls is strong.

Dougan Falls is a 19-foot falls on the Washougal River, the last major waterfall on the river, with a deep pool below. It can be seen from roadside pullouts and from the road at the Dougan Falls day-use area. A small network of short paths from the picnic area leads down to the river over rocky, uneven ground. Stay off social trails: there is private land close to the day-use area and campground. Do not wade near the top of the falls; the current is strong.
