Comet Falls Trail from Paradise Road

NPS overview says 3.8 miles round trip, while its narrative gives 1.8 miles each way. Range retains the discrepancy.

Sustained uphill forest and canyon trail. Snow and ice can make the route hazardous.

Where to start

Use the small Comet Falls trailhead lot four miles east of Longmire on the road to Paradise. NPS states there is no additional nearby parking; choose another hike if the lot is full.

Timing & water

NPS suspended seasonal trail-condition updates until June 2027. Confirm road access and snow conditions with the park before visiting; this is not a current snow-free report.

Before you go

National park entrance requirements apply; no pets on this trail.
