Waldrop Stone Falls is a 20- to 50-foot tiered cascade, the tallest waterfall in the Clemson Experimental Forest, on a creek dropping toward the Twelve Mile arm of Lake Hartwell. From the trailhead on Madden Bridge Road, walk up the logging road, then turn right onto the woodland trail down to the base. The last section is steep, with wooden steps, short switchbacks and benches. Return the same way, or continue the official loop up the creek toward Waldrop Stone Road and back on the logging road. The trail was built by a local Boy Scout troop, which helps manage it.
