Little Niagara Falls

A couple hundred feet from the parking area

Little Niagara Falls is a small two-tier falls, each drop about 5 feet, on Travertine Creek in Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Waterfall Hero says to enter the park from US-177 on Perimeter Drive, go right where it becomes a one-way loop, cross a low-water bridge and bear left into the Little Niagara parking area after 0.3 miles; obvious paths lead a couple hundred feet to the falls. The pool between the drops is a popular swimming hole. The rocks are very slippery.

Oklahoma

Bluestem Lake Falls

About five minutes from the main parking area

Bluestem Falls is a series of drops over shale and sandstone below the Bluestem Lake spillway, northwest of Pawhuska. TravelOK directions: take Kihekah Avenue north from the center of Pawhuska to County Road 4070, turn left and continue over three miles to a fork, then take the left fork toward the spillway. A travel article suggests navigating to the Bluestem Falls main parking area; from there a short path, narrow near the falls, leads down in about five minutes. A low-water crossing on the way can be impassable after rain. Flow depends on water going over the spillway; use caution when the spillway is running high.

Dripping Springs

About 150 feet from the lot to the overlook at the top of the falls

Natural Falls, known locally as Dripping Springs Falls, is a 77-foot waterfall in a narrow valley in Natural Falls State Park near West Siloam Springs. From the parking area by the park office, walk downhill through the formal garden; the accessible trail continues to a railed platform above the falls. Concrete steps lead down to a second viewing deck with seating at the base. Return the same way. The longer Dripping Springs Trail reaches the base through a steep rocky gorge.
