The federal place-name listing puts it between Cave Island Falls and Bear Falls, near Little Niagara Falls. NPS describes the Travertine Creek Trail as a mostly level gravel trail with bridges that follows this stretch of creek between the Travertine Nature Center and Pavilion Springs. Waterfall Record notes that the smaller Travertine Creek falls are reached along the trail near Little Niagara.
