- Trail and old roads, a creek ford, then an off-trail walk along the creek. Expect wet feet. Waterfall Hero says the bushwhack gets very difficult below the next falls.
From the Grassy Ridge trailhead, take the Rainbow Falls and Raymond Fisher trails, turn left after about a quarter mile to stay on the blue-blazed Raymond Fisher Trail, cross Chestnut Mountain Road, and continue down to the pond and campground. At the campground, follow a service road past the campsite to a junction and make a sharp right. On the next old road, turn left at the next two intersections and ford Bearwallow Creek. Once across, bushwhack downstream close to the creek past cascades for about a quarter mile to Indian Camp Falls. For a full view, Waterfall Hero waded the creek and climbed onto rocks across from the falls. Below here, cliffs make the route much harder.
