Catheys Creek Falls is a long steep sliding cascade about 80 feet high into a large pool in Pisgah National Forest west of Brevard. From the tiny pullout on FS 471, 0.2 mile beyond where the road crosses Catheys Creek, an obvious path leads down to the falls. The last stretch needs a little scrambling, and an open view usually means wading into the pool. The falls are not visible from the road.
