Big Bearwallow Falls is a steep cascading falls about 35 feet high on Big Bearwallow Creek in Pisgah National Forest. There is no official trail. From the middle of the pullout, a steep path descends to a junction; turn right past a small cliff and scramble upstream to the falls. The path is not easy to follow. The source warns that the road banks have been used as a garbage dump and that fallen trees cover the falls area. Do not use the gated, posted road just north of the pullout.
