Verkeerder Kill Falls drops about 100 feet just south of Minnewaska State Park Preserve's Sam's Point Area. The Long Path follows Loop Road and the Verkeerder Kill Falls Footpath through pitch pine and blueberry scrub, enters private property near the falls and crosses the Verkeerder Kill, then a side path leads about one hundred feet to an overlook above the falls. The falls and overlook are on private property; the landowner allows access but has closed the trail beyond the overlook. Stay at the overlook; the edge is a sheer drop.
