Awosting Falls is a 65-foot waterfall on the Peters Kill in Minnewaska State Park Preserve. From the Awosting parking area, head east on a wide gravel path following the sign to Trail to Awosting Falls. At the access road to Lake Minnewaska the path curves right and crosses a concrete bridge over the Peters Kill. On the other side, turn left onto the Awosting Falls Carriage Road, marked with occasional red diamond blazes. The carriage road descends on a broad curve to the base of the falls. Return the same way. Swimming is not permitted in any streams or waterfalls in the park.
