Big Dog Falls, also called Smith Pond Brook Falls, is described by New England Waterfalls as a seasonal waterfall about 30 feet tall on Smith Pond Brook in Enfield. The Upper Valley Land Trust (UVLT) says its Smith Pond Shaker Forest has five miles of trails and two waterfalls, and that a full loop up to Smith Pond and back passes both. UVLT names Little Dog Falls but does not name or place Big Dog Falls on its map. Start from the Route 4A trailhead or from the Smith Pond Road trailhead and follow the light blue blazed trails toward Smith Pond. Where the trail passes this waterfall is not stated in the sources.
