Ground & access
Meadow and forest trail followed by a narrow informal path above a rocky gorge. Stay back from the rim. This guide does not recommend scrambling down for a view.

The maintained Stanley Lake trail connects to a narrow Lady Face Falls side path. Visit Idaho describes partial views from above, but a firsthand report published in March 2026 found the named falls obscured from the rim. A clear waterfall view is not guaranteed.

Plan your visit

From Stanley Lake Trailhead walk along FR 649 and turn left onto Stanley Lake Creek Trail #640. Follow it toward Bridal Veil Falls, then take the Lady Face Falls side path to the granite gorge and view from above. Return the same way.

The association explicitly labels the distance round trip.
