From Telluride, drive east on Colorado Avenue to the end of the box canyon. The Bridal Veil Trail starts at the Idarado Mine parking area by the settling ponds and goes to the base of Bridal Veil Falls. About three quarters of the way up, a spur leads to another waterfall and the Bridal Veil Road. Hikers may also walk up the 4WD road. The power plant at the top is privately owned.

The Telluride visitor guide does not give a length. A third-party hiking site gives 4.0 miles for the older route up the jeep road; that is not the trail distance.

Where to start

Idarado Mine parking area at the settling ponds. Parking is limited; obey all parking signs.

Timing & water

The 4WD road is closed in winter. The visitor guide discourages hiking or snowshoeing to the falls in winter because of rockfall and avalanches.
