Mt Nebo Falls

From the Seasonal Waterfall Overlook parking area, take the signed Waterfall/Gum Springs Trail down the stone steps. The seasonal waterfall is passed on the descent toward Gum Springs. Return uphill on the same trail.

The official 2013 park brochure gives 0.25 mile one-way from Waterfall Natural Area to Gum Springs, passing the waterfall. Returning over that full segment totals 0.5 mile. The shorter waterfall-only distance is not specified; the current state trail page also lists 0.25.

Very steep switchbacks and large rock steps. The state rates the trail strenuous. Stay on the marked trail around cliffs.

Where to start

Park at the Seasonal Waterfall Overlook/Gum Springs Trail lot. The state-hosted geology guide directs drivers up Highway 155, left at the summit junction, then right at the next junction onto County Road 102 toward the lot. Current trailhead coordinates: 35.216767, -93.259167.
