- Unblazed footpath and old forest road, an unbridged crossing of Big Run, then an off-trail descent through woods along Pigeon Run. High water makes the Big Run crossing harder.
Pigeon Run Falls is a 20-foot drop where Pigeon Run spills into Sullivan Branch in State Game Lands 13. From the Sullivan Falls parking area, follow the worn footpath about 400 feet downhill to Big Run and rock-hop across (there is no bridge). Follow the old forest road about 0.3 mile to a fork, take the lower left fork about another 0.3 mile to Pigeon Run, cross the stream, and bushwhack downhill a few hundred yards to the falls. This partial guide relies on one visitor account; the last stretch has no trail. Several smaller waterfalls lie upstream, but the upper stream runs onto posted private land.
