Difficult. Off-trail path, highway shoulder walking, a river crossing above the falls and a very steep descent that needs a rope. The rocks are very slippery. Stay away from the edge at the top of the falls.

Twin Falls is a 20-foot waterfall in two streams on Toxaway River in Gorges State Park, below Toxaway Falls. Waterfall Hero describes this route, and the route description dates from 2019. Cross US 64 with great care and get behind the guardrail. Walk east beside the highway about 0.2 miles to the end of the guardrail, where an old road with a wooden gate goes downhill. Follow the old road and then the path below it down to Toxaway River. The writers found flagging tape on the path. At the river, turn left and follow it downstream a short way to the top of the falls. Cross the river and climb down to the base. This last descent is very steep and needs a rope.
