Where to start
Clearing about 3 miles past the end of pavement on unpaved Old CCC Road (SR 1731), reached from NC 226 via Jonestown Road and Melton Road. The road is rough and has a creek ford. If the gate just before the clearing is closed, Waterfall Hero says there is a small parking area before it.
Timing & water
Gate status on Old CCC Road can change; NC Waterfalls notes a gate before the clearing that has been open on its visits. This is game land, so hunting may take place.
