- Old road then a steep, faint, ungraded path to the base. Adams rates it difficult. Tropical Storm Helene severely affected the Hungry River corridor just downstream in 2024; Adams had not revisited at the time of writing.
From the turnaround at the end of Gallimore Road, enter the old gated road opposite the kayaker parking lot. After about 100 yards, where the road swings left, a faint side path turns right on the outside of the curve and descends steeply to the base of Case Falls. Do not climb down the waterfall if you reach the creek near the top. Return the same way.

Room to park along the outside of the turnaround at the end of Gallimore Road (SR 1956), reached from Upward Road and Big Hungry Road southeast of Hendersonville. The large gated lot in the field is for fee-paying kayakers. Adams believes hikers may use the turnaround but states this only as far as can be determined.
