Ground & access
Steady climb on a narrow, rocky trail with a road crossing. Rocks by the water are slippery.

Stag Brook tumbles down the base of Whiteface Mountain in a series of falls and cascades. Park in the main lot at the Whiteface Mountain Ski Center and walk the road toward the Main Lodge. After the bridge, pass to the left of the secondary building and walk up the gravel road onto a ski trail; the Stag Brook Falls trail starts at the top of the gravel road. The largest falls is a short way up. The trail keeps climbing on the left side of the brook, crosses a road, and passes smaller falls and pools before ending on the ski slopes. This listing marks one of the upper cascades; which one is not established. Return the same way.
