Triphammer Falls is a falls of about 56 feet on Fall Creek at the outlet of Beebe Lake on the Cornell University campus in Ithaca. The top quarter is a dam; the rest is natural cascades. Walk out on the Thurston Avenue bridge for a view of the falls. Then go back to the south end of the bridge, follow the sidewalk left into the woods for about 100 feet, and turn left on the paved walkway to the pedestrian bridge above the falls and the dam. Return the same way.

No source gives a distance from parking to these viewpoints. NYFalls describes them as stops on a campus loop.

Where to start

NYFalls describes a campus lot on the east end of the gorge near the Beebe Lake dam with some spaces not reserved for campus use; check and obey the signs. Other campus lots are not all open to the public.

Timing & water

Cornell says the Fall Creek gorge trails are open year round but only a small part is maintained in winter. The gorges are especially dangerous after large storms.
