Jamestown Falls is a 20-foot cascade on the Raquette River in the town of Colton. From NY 56, 2.4 miles from its junction with NY 3 at Sevey Corners, turn right onto a dirt road just after a small stream, marked by a DEC sign set back from the road. Drive about 0.3 miles to the river’s edge, where there is a parking area and boat launch. The falls are on your right, a few hundred yards upstream. To get closer, paddle up the river. Much of the land around the access road is private and posted.
