Ground & access
Old road becoming a narrow, partly overgrown trail; no official maintenance seen. Steep, risky bank below the falls.

Sawtelle Falls is a 12-foot, two-tier horsetail on Sawtelle Brook. From the pull-off just after the bridge, follow the unsigned trail on the same side of the road, heading downstream (east). It starts as an old logging road and narrows. After about 0.5 mile the trail curves right to a small bluff at the top of the falls. The bank down to the base is steep; the view from the top is the safer choice.
